My name is Robert H., I was a student at the Elmerton facility in1984 thru 1985.My counselor was Vanessa and the house director was Gilbert. Other counselors were Daryl and Sam, and the cook was Gus. I’m now 49 yrs. old and although I spent 10 mos. in the county prison in my early 20’s for a domestic incident, since then I’ve lived a productive life as I’ve owned my home for 22 yrs. and have maintained steady employment. Besides helping me finish my H.S. education the greatest lesson I learned at ARC was a simple one, to respect other people. Years ago I heard someone ask,” why are we here?” At the time I didn’t know the answer was also a simple one. To help one another. Thank you, Robert H.
